b. 1974 USA / Venice, Italy
Trina Tygrett is a “glass artist”, creating a myriad of hand-crafted delights from Murano glass, which she brings together in a range of unique jewellery, presented in her Venice Atelier, the Victoria & Albert Museum and now, through SGFA.
From 1996 to 2001, she worked Murano glass for her husband Giorgio Nason’s jewellery collection. The collection has been sold at numerous stores and museums, including Barney’s (NY), Joyce’s (HK), the Chicago Art Institute, the Dahesh Museum (NY), Harvey Nichols (UK), Liberty’s (UK) and the Guy Laroche Spring/Summer collection 2007. The Nason family has been working with glass in Murano since 1602, and in Venice since the 12th Century.
Tygrett has created designs for John Hardy (Bali), The Maeght Fondation (France) and the Victoria & Albert Museum (UK).
